... and not just because I'm getting bored with the stay-at-home mommy life. That's not it at all. I love being at home and able to watch my wonderful 3 year old grow into her personality. However, I want to be able to use my time more wisely. I want to become involved with something that's productive, revolutionary, and will make a difference. Even if it's on a very small scale. I wish I could get plugged in to anything to do with music or choir at Friends University. Or the Alumni Association there. Maybe I could even help with the Alumni Directory at Bethel. I've also thought about becoming involved with Natural Family Planning through St. Francis. The problem is, I don't know where to start or who to contact. The easiest project would be with Bethel, but I don't know if they need/want my help or if what I want to do is even relevant.
How do I use my free time more wisely without giving up the stay-at-home mom life?

I know this isn't anything you listed above but I wanted to invite you to my woman's group...I know it's not Catholic but religious beliefs don't play a part here, it's just a group of God-loving women who study the bible together and help each other grow in Him. It's made a tremendous difference in my walk with God, my level of contentment, my emotional health, and is just a good thing! Not only the bible study but the talking and sharing with other women is so amazing! It's from 6:15p-7:45p on Thursdays. There are 4 women our age-ish there and 4 woman in there 35-40's ish age group there. They also provide a fantastic sitter who keeps the kids preoccupied in the basement, all within earshot. She is a christian young lady around our age named Kayla. There's a little girl who is 3 (Emerson) and a little boy (Micah) who is also 3. Anyway, please don't feel obligated at all but do feel open to it! Seriously I don't think there's any other way to better plug in than plugging in to His word with other believers! I've only been going for 6 weeks now and already know it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I wish I would've done this years ago.
